Paige is 13 months

I’ve been asked to continue her monthly picture in her little pink chair…and I thought “what the heck?”…but I’m not doing the labels…I’ll just take a picture….and see how she changes from month to month.
13 months:
She is walking everywhere!! I love the un-steady step that features a wobble of that of a penguin!  She weighs around 19 lbs and has a very good appetite!  She gives kisses and waves at everyone!! She’s started reaching for other people, instead of just ME….which is a relief!  She squeals when she’s excited or when she just wants to hear her own voice.  She is totally off the bottle during the day at the sitters and takes a sippy cup well!  We are working on weaning her last nursing session.  I’m sure this is harder on me than her…
She’s not been sick, up to this point, other than a little runny nose.  But last Thursday, I dropped her off at the sitter…and by pick up, she’d gotten sick on me.  That motherly instinct told me in a matter of minutes that she needed to see a doctor.  So I took her to the after hour pediatric clinic…the dr ordered a xray…and diagnosed her with RSV and maybe a touch of pneumonia.  My  child that had never been on a RX medication, other than creams for rash and fluoride, was now on antibiotic and breathing treatments.  WHOA!  I’m glad we started her on it…I feel certain that she would’ve ended up in the hospital if we hadn’t gotten to it so quickly.
